وجه اللواء مهندس هشام السعيد محافظ الغربية مدير مديرية الطرق بالغربية بإعادة رصف وتأهيل جميع شوارع طنطا وكذا وضع خطة زمنية محددة لرصف شارع الجلاء والكورنيش .. يأتي ذلك في إطار إهتمام محافظ الغربية بتوفير السيولة المرورية بالشوارع والعمل على تجميل وتطوير الشوارع على مستوى المحافظة.

وكبداية للأعمال وتنفيذاً لتوجيهات محافظ الغربية قام حي أول طنطا برصف شارع الصاغة بداية من شارع الشيخ الشعراوى حتى شارع دحديرة صبري .. وأيضاً تم الإنتهاء من رصف شارع حجازي من على مبارك حتى ترعة سناره .. كما تم رفع المطابق لشارع المأمون بداية من شارع الفاتح حتى شارع النحاس وكذا شارع إبن مالك من إبن الفارض حتى شارع إسكندرية تمهيداً لرصفهم.
